Anyone from Montana?

Hey everyone. My wife and I are looking to move to Missoula Montana next summer. We were hoping to talk to someone that lives there, lived there or lives near there. We just had a few questions about the area. This may be the wrong place to put this post, so let me know if you think I should put it somewhere else. My dad lives in Wallace Idaho which is about 2 hours away, so we know the area fairly well, but would like to talk to someone that actually lives there.

I've been to wallace. Hung out at Northwest Mine Supply while I was there and ate at some place downtown that was recommended to us. I even have a hat to prove it.

I don't live in Montana but, I often felt like I did. I'm managing a couple of sites over near Phosphate, MT and have spent OODLES of nights in Missoula and Deer Lodge (and Butte).

Rockpick,
Have you been to Missoula in the winter?

I have.

As I recall, it wasn't terrible but, I haven't spent alot of time out there during the winter months.

We do a lot of 'outdoor' work in the business that I'm in and thus, when it's 10 degrees and there's 4 feet of snow on the ground (our sites are at higher elevations than Missoula), I don't get out of the truck (if the truck would make it to where I needed to go... )

I'm probably not your best source for info on winter time...
