Let me guess, from Bass Pro shops at Arundel Mills Mall? I drool over them every time we go to Bass Pro. I bought a new Merc outboard from them back in 07' I have it serviced there every Fall. Good people.

Ah that's right. I forgot about your other thread where you mentioned you are picking up a slightly used Tahoe. Yea, the Bass Pro sales guys are nimrods where I live too. They knew nothing about the outboard I was looking at. I'd ask questions (most of which I already knew the answer to ) and they'd scratch their heads and run back to ask the mechanics. The marine mechanics there are top notch, though.
Well congrats on your soon to be new purchase. Boating is a great experience. You picking it up this weekend? I'll be up there skiing in the mud . I'll send ya waive if I see your truck.

If we get the left over 2010 Q7 from the dealer up by you he's going to bring it to a boat show closer here in va i'l pick it up at. Otherwise we would get it here at bass pro. My bass pro pro does have a left over 2009 Q8 we looking at if the price comes down a couple more grand, its been sitting outside uncovered for a while, really dirty and needs a couple cosmetic repairs.
Also still considering 20-21 footer stingrays and that dealer also just got back a 23ft 2009 Monterey with a cuddy with low hours. Just trying to find out what boat handles the bay the best.

A 23' cuddy would be best for the Bay, especially if you have young kids? You know how those summer time storms can approach quickly. It would be nice to have a protected area to get out of the weather while it passes over.
But 21ft should be good, too. I definitely wouldn't go any smaller then that. My buddy has an 07' or 08' 215 Bayliner Discovery. It rides nice in the Bay, but he has to watch the winds very closely. The other thing is all the wake out there from all the other big boats blasting up and down the Bay. The added weight of a cuddy will help slice thru the waves better. But I admit, it is nice to sit up in that bow while anchored out.

Hey Fordie, sorry to derail your thread . I'll be following this board to see if anyone organizes a meet. I would be interested in coming out to meet some local members and show off the "Silver Bullet" . I'm not bold enough to try an organize it, but if I'm available and the date works out I'm there, especially now that it's getting nice out.
