I am NOT an expert on exhaust design - period.

If you wanted something REALLY loud though, you'd just cut the pipes off right at the manifold. Of course, this would screw up the backpressure, so your engine would probably run like crap.

Exhaust design is extremely complicated - if you get it right, you get a power boost. Anything else, and you might get a power reduction. But, I suspect most anything other than stock is likely to be louder. That's not what I'm looking for, so, I have no advice for you.

I doubt it matters. You'll be at WOT, and, unless you get above about 86mph, you'll be under the rev limiter in 3rd. If you want to go faster than that, I'd want the O/D on, to keep the engine RPMs reasonable.

Hey ya I have yahoo messenger, send me your email, I'll send you a request. When I first bought my truck I was not happy with the passing power then I bought my SCT X3 custom tune from VMP and know my truck is very fast for being a pick up with 4 wheel drive. The custom tune will make you think you bought anthoer truck! So the first thing I would buy is a custom tune from VMP or PHP & Troyer there the best tuners out there for our trucks. The double din head unit I bought of ebay for about $200 and it works great easy to install and comes with a sd card dvd, the head unit stayes in place just opens to place cd or sd card, it is also a touch screen. It is not the best but for $200 it's a great deal I have no problems with it. The name brand is Phaseliner from Jensen. Send me your email and I send you a request from yahoo.

Oh good. I think I'm gonna order it this weekend. So if I want custom tunes who will I send it too? I hear getting an after market intake will make the truck run rich? Is that true

A CAI is a "Cold Air Intake". They supposedly give you a bit more power at high RPMs, when the engine needs a lot of air. The CS is functionally no different than the CTS other than the fact that the CTS has a touch screen and will display the picture from a backup camera. No difference in tuning capabilities.

I also like the HID kit that I bought off ebay, I bought the HID 10000k blue light, look in my album for a look at the picture nice upgrade and easy to install I paid about $60 for the kit & I love it.

One of the best upgrades I have done was add MagnaFlow cats 94106 is the part number and also added a single 3" pipe tubing and a Flowmaster Super 44. I also heard that Troyer sells e-fans I'm thinking of buy some and long tube headers. The headers are for sale on ebay for $500 but they will give you aleast 15hp.

The DIY intake should give you about +8 HP. Some people have added Underdrive Pulleys and E-fans, and they say they feel quicker "response", which I would believe. Exhaust mods don't do much except change the sound. You'll get more HP using a high-octane tune and high octane gas, if you don't mind payng for the gas.

That's really about all you can do, I think.
