Nice looking truck. What is the width and backspacing of your wheels? Do you have any rubbing issues? Thanks

No problem! We do the maintenance work on our trucks so we have to know most of the systems. If you run the .5" line before the valve it's physically larger, so it can hold a bigger volume of air and actually increase your storage capacity. Not by a lot, but it can help. You can run .5" line to the horns, but from my experience with what we've got on our trucks the .25" is plenty, IF you're just running TWO truck horns. If you plan on upgrading to train horns later then you'd probably be better off running .5" to the horns so you don't have to run new line later though.

'Mech' is just shorthand for mechanical, paintballer slang, it would be the typical valve actuated by a chain or lanyard, but any valve would work. You could use a .25" 1/4-turn brass plumbing valve if you wanted.

All these guys, running around blasting folks with their horns are gonna end up getting 'em outlawed on private vehicles... Sounds like you got the right idea IMO. That's why I like a mechanical valve and being able to just crack it and 'moan' the horns at somebody.

    Good luck!

Hey man, Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. You seem to know the most about the Fire Truck horns, so I thought Id ask you. I'm kinda confused about the airline size. Where you saying that running .5" to the solenoid then after the solenoid splitting it to the horns with.25" line would be best? Also what is a 'mech' valve? i really dont plan to use the horns like everyone else, I live in a smaller town of only 200k+, and some people are so nice that if you piss them off they will mess up your stuff in return... I just think they sound awesome and will go over well at truck/car shows! Thanks -Matt
