Blackwood in Roswell w/Cobb plates yesterday...anyone here?
This is my third distinct Blackwood spotting in Roswell this week. Those aggressive pricing incentives must be working out.
Hey Steve:
It was not me, but I can say that the Kennesaw Pugmire store is selling about one a week. The Marietta store supposedly has had as many as 15+ on the lot the last few weeks.
Production did in fact end about two weeks ago and according to Automotive News, about ~550 were retailed in August which is about double the average monthly retails in the first 7 months so something is moving them.
I am aware of at least 2 of the Pugmire Kennesaw Woods and one owner has installed the SuperCrew running boards on his and another has had a really nasty sounding set of duals put on the second one. He was not very talkative, appeared to be even older than me and Jim, and said it was done at a muffler shop in Cartersville which is something I have heard from several people in the Atlanta area. Ring a bell with you?
In any case, according to my weekly research with Automotive News, it seems they have managed to "retail" about 2000 or so of the more or less 4000 that finally got built. I suspect that a fairly large amount of the early production vehicles went to executives, dealers wives and what not and were not valid retails but at least they are probably off the lots.
I still have the hope that you will continue to ****er and deal with the local area dealers and will end up a member of the small band of f150online family that owns a Blackwood.

I work at Pugmire in Marietta, we still have plenty of Blackwoods sitting on the front line. We have sent a few out to have custom wheels and dual exhaust put on them. I love the Blackwood and can have one at a nice price, but I just can't decide! I tow a ole wooden ski boat in the summers and don't know if all my stuff and family stuff will fit in the rear. I am about sure I can buy one with my D plan price for around $32.
Bill have you had your Wood in for any service work at our Kennesaw store yet? If they don't treat you right, I will!
Still want to drop in your store sometime anc check the place out!

bill, i saw your blackwood about two weeks ago behind the big hobby shop in towncenter, very nice. yeah, the pugmire by dobbins AFB has like 10 lined up front, and one or two with rims too. i've looked at them lots, my truck is in the shop at cartech, which is a whole nother story. woman didn't yeild, and i certainly showed her! but i get lightning lights and lightning bumper, so no harm done. anyways, i would love a blackwood, i almost feel bad when i got my f-150 they were way too expensive (50k!). They really look great. and for reference, my truck tends to be around east cobb. its a black extended cab with the cobra hood, lightning lights all around, (NEW!) lightning bumper, tint, and a thumping system. sorry, just have to brag. other than bill's, the only other blackwoods i've seen have dealer prices on the windows
Aggressive Incentives - You Bet
Here is my story on How their Aggressive Incentives hooked me.
Friday, I was getting a massage at lunch, wondering what I was going to do to get my daughter a new car. They had the radio on and it played this advertisment stating they were Giving Away a Free Mercury Cougar 2002 with Every Blackwood Sold and no payments till 2003 for a limited time. Well I checked it out and got the last Blackwood they had in SouthWest Houston. People had driven from the Valley of South Texas (8 hours min) to Houston to take advantage of this deal. Well, as it turned out, I had missed the deadline on the "no payments" part but I traded my GMC "YUCK"ON XL and got my daughter the new cougar for her 1st car. My payments are less than what it would have been had I kept the XL and bought her a new car at full price. So Yeah.. Special Incentives - You BET!!!
