Blackwood heater issues...
2002 Lincoln Blackwood, 130,000 miles.
New here, looking for answers as I'm slightly frustrated. Ac/Heater blend door not letting airflow pass over heater core. Everything else works great, and the ac will blow ice cubes now that I replaced the cabin air filter. (Disgusting, probably the original one.) Since this is my daily driver, I kinda don't want to disassemble any more than I have to, but I've not found the blend door motor location yet....help?
Driver side/center plastic dash removed, passenger side airbag removed, glove box and lower passenger side panels off, pulled stereo, but put back. Center console cover removed but put back.

Definitely blend door or attached actuator. Control head works great, changes vents as directed as well as temp control. Such a simple thing causing me grief. This skinny girl doesn't do cold well, so heater function is on my high priority fix list.
I have heat.......
Broke down and dropped $150 on Amaz*n for the genuine Lincoln Blackwood 1600 page shop manual for this truck. 20 minutes after getting it home, I now know where the temperature blend door actuator is. New actuator in hand (thank you RockAuto.com) I dig in. Oh my god, it's on the bottom of the plenum, and there are NO shortcuts to getting it off. It's ALL gotta come out. Okay, I can do this. Contorted like a gymnastics major, and the screws holding that motor in place are out, maybe I can do a twist and move the blend door. Yup, blend door is fine, but that freaking actuator is dead as a doornail. Start truck, and let it run to warm up, while I start putting enough of the dash back together to be able to get to work tomorrow safely. Actual part swap gonna have to wait till I have more time off, it's like trying to assemble a ship in a bottle. With tweezers, while doing a backbend. I danced in my front yard, (y'all be glad there's no video, it was joyful but ugly. Rhythm is not in my list of skills.) Hot air blowing through the vents in true marshmallow roasting temps, which is one of Fords specialties. Yup, I will be toasty tomorrow.
Word of advice to anyone who still has this truck, get the shop manual. It covered everything, and saved my frayed nerves and frozen fingers.
I love my truck; she is dependable, drives like a tank with a huge turning radius, and is solid. Only one in my area, so unique and memorable. New headlight assemblies as well as new fog lamp assemblies mean she's shining all the way to work. Next is the suspension, and new tires. Pinstripe replacement and a bit of touch up on the paint scheduled as well. And no, my tonneau is on manual mode as well. Already have the wiring diagrams for running that off relays in the file. Work in progress, yup. But she's worth it.

Blackwood manual
A buck fifty is way out of my current budget.
Any one have any less expensive suggestions?
I have to do all my own repairs; broke backwoods hillbilly!
Need a truck, for truck stuff, but was offered this Blackwood, in a trade I could afford, to replace my car!
Wish it got car mpg, but love it enough as a cool car!!!
