A longstanding hush hush rumor is that Ford is releasing the "Whitewood."

In the size department, current specs indicate it is a bit smaller on average than the coveted 'Blackwood', both in length and well... girth. With today's new garages being smaller, the 'Whitewood' will slide in easily compared to the Blackwood having to be carefully positioned for proper insertion and door closure.

Customers will notice a slight difference in handling in the 'Whitewood' as it is slightly more nimble on curves and in tight turns and maneuvers, so to speak.

On the performance front, the 'Whitewood' will have slightly less horsepower and torque compared to the 'Blackwood' but the lighter weight and shorter 'wheelbase' will give owners equal balance during quick blasts or long extended sessions.

In the comfort department, the 'Whitewood' will come with a full compliment of accessories as currently found in the 'Blackwood', including an extra large cup holder just off the passenger seat, integrated entertainment console, and several converted AC outlets.

Expect comparible sales between the two as they will be similar in price and value for your hard earned dollar....or something.

On the Whitewood, it's just another of those nasty stories started by people who already have the version with the black paint job!

I suggest anyone looking for information on the Lincoln Blackwood goto lincolnvehicles.com and look up all information there. (Only available in Black with the Nav system as the only option available) I ordered two of these and should have them delivered soon.

Regards,

Jim Kelly

Wink

Rumor has it that Ford will be building a line of svc. departments especially for the Blackwoods. They are to be known affectionately as, Wood Sheds.

And the rural Arkansas edition?? The Backwood!

The catholic church version?? Holywood

The founding fathers edition?? Denturewood

Hmm. It seems that we are running out of jokes now. We need some new ridiculously expensive Ford vehicle to make fun of,,,,,98

I like the blackwood, but since being a detailer and all, tough truck to take care of, being the color black, shows everything. If other colors became available, then I would be very impressed
