check if the 2006 had the monochromatic package.. I love it on mine. also, 2007 has power fold mirrors on both sides which for me was the deal breaker! additionally 2007 has navigation in dash as an option.. but there's always the aftermarket for that anyway.. for me it was the power fold mirrors, they are so handy!
I just took delivery of my 2007 Mark LT yesterday and the following is what I see as the differences from the 2007 from the 2006:
- An additional piece or chrome trim around the rear tail lights and the grill that the 06 did not have.
- The Lincoln emblem on the seats is different.
- The steering wheel now has wood on the top center
- Front headlights are now square instead of round
- 20' wheels now seem to be chrome rather than just polished aluminum
- Navigation available on the 07
- Line input on stereo mounted in the top center of the dash
- Monochrome package available
- Different colors available
- Power folding mirrors
- 6.5' bed available
Is the 07 better than the 06 - Not really - but it does have a few subtle differences that in my opinion does make it look better - like the chrome trim around the grill and tail lights and also the chrome aluminum 20' rims. Of course if navigation and folding mirrors are important to you than the 07 makes the choice easier. Let's not kid anybody most if not all of these options are also available on the 07 Ford F150, but in my case I found that I could lease the 07 Mark LT cheaper that the 07 F150.
I was originally set on purchasing an F150 Lariat Supercrew but with the redesign of the F150 due in model year 2009 I though that if I leased the Mark LT for 2 years I could just walk away from it in the fall of 2008 and hop right into the 2009 F150 or Mark LT, withouth being stuck upside down. My fear was that if I purchased a 2007 and wanted to get rid of it in 2 years I would probably owe more that what the truck was worth.
Anyhow my 2 cents.
I will post some pics of my 07 Mark LT sometime this weekend once I get a few pics and of course some time.

now that i have them (the power folding mirrors), i couldn't live without them again.
besides pulling into the garage, or leaving it in a tight parking spot somewhere... i got the squeeze yesterday between two semi trailers on I-75... it felt so scary for a second, i pulled in my mirrors to be safe it was that close! that's probably not all that pulled in at that moment!

Do they make them in bright red yet?
