Please READ! - 06MARK LT Vibration Noise in drive with brake on.
I have had an issue with my LT that started at around 5000 miles. It is a very odd issue. Basically at cold start for the first 20 or so miles when the car is in drive and the brake is on (morning traffic) there is a vibration noise that is very loud.
I reported this issue to the dealership and of course they said they could reproduce it the first 3 times I went to the dealership. But finally I pulled the guy in my truck and forced him to hear it on the 4th time. This was at 9k miles. They replace the PVC valves under and gave the truck back to me. This resolved the issue for about another 5000 miles, until it came back. In frustration I waited to take it back, (as they never believe me) and then at 15k miles the noise was so loud I just couldn't ignore it anymore. So I took back to the dealer. And wouldn't you know it they said that it is a KNOW ISSUE and FORD WILL NOT FIX IT????? WTF!!!! Bull....
I argued with the adviser and told him it is not normal and to fix it or I'm am going to return the truck with a few kick dents in it.
They agreed to look at it but complained that Ford is telling them that this is normal?
I don't know about you but I'm so tired of Bull from Ford about defects they know about and don't want to fix. I bought this Truck in hopes to have less issues than my LS I traded in, but to my dismay I started having issues after the first oil change!
I went to another dealership and they printed out all the reported issues with 06 LTs and 06 f150s (as they are the same truck) and there are about 3 different reports...
1. Wrong type of Oil or clogged oil filter.
2. Unknown, unconfirmed?
3. another one is the exact symptom I'm seeing with no solution other than ???
If you are having this issue PLEASE PLEASE report it to your dealer and lets get this problem resolved by ford. I know that others are seeing it because the service guy said that 3 brand new trucks in the new car lot are having the same issue.
Or if you know how to fix it please reply to this thread so i can tell the dealership how to do there job.
