LT's look good on the dealer" lot.

The same 6 LT's have been sitting on the dealers lot for almost 2 months now. I have yet to see any TT's on the road. One would think that they would lower the price to where they sell some of them. Profit is good for the dealer but they have to sell it to realize it. The way its going the 2007s will be out and they will not have sold any.

I've seen a few on the roads, but not many at all. I couldn't see spending the money on a Lincoln and not getting what I wanted, so here's what I did to my FX4

I got the grille from my brothers Ford dealership. They will have the part number you will need.

I believe you have to order the grille in its entirety, meaning the painted surround, grille and hood bump stops. Another member here swapped just the center portion of the grille and ended up with problems with the hood bumpers, which my brothers dealership verified that there is a difference in those bumpers, but the correct ones come with the new grille when ordered. Since the LT's aren't available in bright red, I had to paint all the parts. If your F-150 is one of the 5 lincoln colors, you can order it painted to match, and just install when you get it.

I also did the rear panel, side door and tailgate handles and the rear taillight reflectors from the Mark LT's.

i still cant figure what lincoln is trying to do by keeping the price up so high. msrp 47k. x plan 41k. no rebates. eliminate them from the ford family plan. i looked and drove one. seems to ride smoother than the f150 but that could be imagination. the exterior looked sharp but the interior showed no difference, in fact the contrasting piping on the seats was kind of gaudy. went to the ford dealer and got a good deal on a king ranch. the exterior not that much different than the lariat i traded but the interior with the castano leather seats is way nicer than the LT. if they dont drop the prices and start dealing i think the LT line will go extinct. i have only seen ONE LT on the road.

It's sweet right now- but if you wanna make it tight- you need to add the side skirts, and the rear valence, lower it two inches all around- and you'll have a head-turner for sure.

Well, you already have a head-turner; if you can implement my suggestions, you'll have a neck-snapper.

vegastrac, your truck looks great just the way it is.

CIA-Agent it's a 4x4 truck not a car why would you PIMP it by lowering it?

In my area they are selling loaded 4X4's for $37,100, that is what I paid for a host of options and dealer add-ons. 2.9%/60 no money down, sweeeeeet deal.

since these Lts came out i have only seen one on the road here in NJ. aol has a review on the LT and it confirms its an overpriced 150. they say that the leather is much nicer in the king ranch. they make a point of saying that they should have put in nicer interior panels and a navigation system and the other appointments that are found in a luxury vehicle if they want to charge a premium price.

Door Handles..

I just got a 05 F150 and I want to change the door / tailgate handles over to the LT ones. My truck is Dark Shadow Grey Met.

Your saying I can get the handles painted from the factory since the LT is offered in that color?

How much of a pain in the *** is it to swap them?

What do they run?

My truck does not have the key pad but, it is wired for it and the code is on the manuel. Will I have to order the keyless pad too or is it part of the handle?

Is there a how to on swapping the handles?

Are the chrome half mirror covers available form Ford?

Can you get the chrome around the bottom of the doors / sides for a super cab?

How much of a pain in the *** is it to swap them?they aren't too bad, just a little time consuming.

What do they run?around $220-$250 depending on the dealership

My truck does not have the key pad but, it is wired for it and the code is on the manuel. Will I have to order the keyless pad too or is it part of the handle? the LT handles come with the slot for the keyless entry. You will have to order the white gauge pad as well to fit into the door handle.

Is there a how to on swapping the handles?I think there is a project on them somewhere. I don't know where though. You might check the 04-05 F-150 forum and do a search on the LT handles.

Are the chrome half mirror covers available form Ford?I could not find just the chrome mirror part, I was told I had to order the entire mirror assembly.

Can you get the chrome around the bottom of the doors / sides for a super cab?I believe you can get these aftermarket, but not from the LT as they only come in super crews.
