Mark LT commnet.

I'm speaking as a independant contracter, not being critical of those who have or will purchass a Mark LT. Today (sunday) I stopped at a ford dealer here in calgary to size this truck up.

I like the Lincolin grill and rims, dress's up the f-150. Thestick on tail lights on the tail gate are cheasy, The Mark LT I looked at stickerd for 60,000 plus ( CDN ) the mark LT is sweat looking truck but I question if cosmetic changes to a f-150 super crew justify's the price.

I have a base XLT reg cab 4x4 that I'm happy with, my truck is way to nice for the work I put it threw. MY 04 was 35,000 CDN new for an extra 25,000 more to step up to a 05/06 Mark LT is crazy, my 04 may be worth 25,000 if that.

With high flue prices and the depreation on new trucks, You have to qustion why you would spend this kinda money on a truck, You could buy a 05 cobbra and a nice 05 f-150 for the same kinda money if you played your card's right.

Just a simple guy's comment...

I agree that the LT is overpriced as well. I really like the look, sans side rocker chrome, and the LT wasn't made in bright red, so I am going a different route. I ordered an '05 FX4 supercrew and have most of the lincoln body parts being painted right now. All the parts will be installed on Friday, and my truck will look just like a LT. Total cost for parts, painting and install is around $1,000, but I am getting some good deals through my brother at a dealership and co-workers of his that are doing the painting and installation.

I've seen several posts where people have talked to dealerships who say the LT's are moving quickly. All of them say they see the same LT's at the dealership week after week. I have seen the same. The trucks on the lots just aren't moving.

You could also look at the difference between the Avalanch and the Escalade. Basically the same truck as I understand, with a few upgrades on the Escalade, but it is considerably more than the Avalanch. The auto manufacturers are looking for the next class up, basically the ones that look past price, and more into luxury.
