Question does the chrome mirror cap on the '03 blackwood s'crew fit the Lariat?

just wondering if any of you would know if the chrome mirror caps( with the built in turn signal) from a '03 Lincoln s'crew will fit my Lariat with the same style mirror? i priced them at my local Ford dealer but the parts guy wasn't sure they would fit since they list a different part # for the mirror assemblies. i'm 99.9% sure it does fit but i really wasn't going to order them if they didn't. i'd would rather find used ones if i could which brings me to my next question.

does anyone know if i can find some used ones that are in good shape? the price for new ones are 3 times more then the regular caps.

any input would be great.

thanks

The blackwood was only made in 2002, the reason for the different part no's is because the wood's mirrior are power fold in and the fords are not. but the chrome caps should still fit. the mirror heads are basically identical.

What color are your originals? Do they have the signal? I was looking to swap my chrome (no signal) for unpainted black ones.

Yes, they will fit. Click the gallery link in my signature for a how-to from the menu.

They won't let me post the before and after photos because of the *other* site. They're in the gallery in my sig under, "mirror cover how-to"

You can also do the door handles off a Navigator, but those are a pretty penny.... $300 for the fronts, $450 for a supercrew!
