LT scale model.
LT scale model.
Dropped by my dealer yesterday to see if new NAV DVD had arrived, it hadn't, and my salesman showed me a 1/24 or 1/25 diecast model of the LT that Lincoln had sent them. I was in a real hurry and did not get the manufacturers name but it was a very well done model. Black in color.
They expect their first units in a week or two.
Very collectible model I would imagine.

Go back there & get one or at least the name of the company that did them. That way we can all write to them & find out where the frickin Blackwood models are! I would love to have a Wood model but don't have the time or patience to create on myself.
I will do so today.
Also, I have been told by a "secret" source that a similar Blackwood model was sent to at least some Lincoln dealers in 2001/2002. He is trying to track one down for me.
If I can find out who made them, and it is probably one of my "traditional" suppliers, I can try to see if any are left somewhere of either one of them.
The making of the moulds is 90% of the cost of a model so once that is done it is not terribly expensive to do another run on that mould or moulds. Usually, they require a minimum run of around 1,000 units.
I will see what I can do but cannot afford to commission 1,000 units on my own nickel.

OK, the supplier to Lincoln, and Ford, dealerships is a sales promotion company called Evigna and they have a website, www.evigna.com They offer a variety of exclusive model products not found in hobby stores or the mass market.
I have emailed them, officially, representing HobbyTown stores as well as a number of "un-named" enthusiast websites indicating an interest beyond what they supply to dealerships. You can also buy at least some of their offerings off of their website.
So I do not get in trouble with Stever, I ask him here to contact them to see if they would like to advertise on this site. They do offer other stuff that sort of parallels what is offered here.
My interest is only in the die cast model part of their assortment.
