To each his own
I personally don't care for this (a WHITE Blackwood), but thought the group may want to see it: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/592398
Hi Guys:
Sorry I have been out of touch, but we have had to plan three "off site" shows for the shop and it has demanded a lot of time. One was over on Sunday and we have two going this weekend. One is a national tour promoting the fact that disabled folks have lots of capabilities. Our part is to let them run RC cars, fly a lot of hand launched planes and helicopters (plastic glider type stuff) and whatever else we can think of. I have in mind a water balloon fight but that may not fly. The other is celebrating the 75th birthday of Mickey Mouse and we have a booth at the Disney affair at Underground Atlanta.
The one we did last weekend was a lot of fun. It was called
"The Affluent Lifestyle Expo" and basically was a Big Boys Toys show for those folks that have a lot of discretionary income.
There were vendors for home theaters, home bars, upscale basement modifications, well you name it.
The fun part were the automotive displays. We were right in the middle of the Maybach, Rolls Royce and Mercedes display areas.
Over 10 million worth of cars almost within reach. They also had Porsches, Lambos, Lotus, Cadillac, BMW, three over 700K motor homes and even a personal helicopter.
We had an operating LGB Garden Scale railroad layout (8'X8') and a lot of RC stuff and about 20 die cast models of cars that were represented as real cars on the floor. Also high dollar metal detectors, world globes on floor stands and 10,000 piece puzzles.
Lot of fun, met lots of interesting people. On that subject, and RDYwith, don't get mad at me, but I don't really think I want to be that wealthy. I was blown away by the number of guys my age and older who had very young and very nubile ladies on their arms who seemed to have visited the same plastic surgeon as regards certain glands. Honestly, the guys looked a bit silly and I would not want to be paying their alimony tab for the pleasure of having something way south of a Vasser grad hanging on my arm.
Anyway, to the Lincoln WhiteWood. At first I was put off, but it grew on me. I like white and most of my cars/trucks for the last 20 years or so have been that color. After the 4th or 5th view, I can live with it. Not so the wheels but, as I have always said, wheels are a very personal taste kind of thing.
RP, sorry to not have answered your e-mail. I was just totally out of the loop for a week. Today, I polled all my distributors as well as Racing Champions/Ertl and they all say that the KR has not yet been released. If it is on EBay, it is a mystery to all of them. May be a pre-order deal or maybe the individual has a connection in China to get stuff right off the production line. If so, it is likely not real legal but that kind of stuff goes on all the time.
Check it out and if it is legit and the price is reasonable give it a try.
Now, I am thinking about a ChromeYellowWood with the bed in a natural color. Have to have a go at my PhotoShop software.

NP Bill. I'll hold out and wait to see when you get your hands on it. I have a hunch that it's either a pre-order or, like you said, suspecious in some nature.
Thanks again!
