Katy, Rob and Others:
Totally off the subject of Blackwoods, but we already started talking about this anyway.
Went by Wolf Camera and purchased the Sony DSC F717 (not 711 as I mistyped yesterday). Total tab with tax was about one large which included a lot of extra stuff I mentioned earlier. $200 of that was a 3 year service contract which I never do normally but they offer a yearly full service cleaning and performance check which as klutzy as I am is probably a good idea since it is built into the price of the contract and I can screw up a wet dream.
I regret that I cannot report on the performance of the camera as it takes about 3 hours to charge the lithium battery from dead/dead and it just gave me the green light and it is already dark outside so will have to wait till tomorrow to give it it's first test. I don't do flash.
For Katy, the contractor finished up our pond and the other stuff tonight and we now are into the fancy stuff with plantings, small trees, bushes and so on. We now have a 500 gallon small pond on one side of the back yard and a 4000 gallon pond on the other side and we are both in heaven. What a relaxing sound/visual effect we have when looking out from the porch or the deck. I had to buy a cheap used laptop computer to set out on the deck so I can communicate with you folks while watching the little fishies and the waterfalls.
Life is sometimes good, but this is going to put a heck of a dent into any further mods on my Blackwood. Having said that, this thread is legit.

I LOVE our pond. It's probably the best mod we did to the house. Roni has enjoyed feeding the fish every night w/me (even though most of the food ends up in the ivy in front of the pond, but she gets excited & that makes it worth it).
Look forward to some pics Bill. Just send them our way & we'll host/post them.
BTW here's ours (I'm still trying to find the right combination of plants that I won't have to keep replanting).

Morning Katy:
Ponds can become almost as addictive as fast trucks.
We had the three grand kids over yesterday for their first look at the new one and each one has chosen "their" rock from which to look at the waterfalls, the pond or the fish. The "signature" rock as our pond artist/builder calls it weighs more than our Woods. That one is my rock.
I will take pics towards the end of the week. If all goes well, all the basic stuff will be finished by Friday or so. The owner's manual for the new camera is actually fairly reader friendly and I am going to attempt to set up a gallery here on f150online. If that fails, I can burn stuff to a CD and then send it by e-mail directly to you and Rob. Actually, I think I can e-mail right off the stick can't I? Too early in the morning to think.
