Blackwood sales 01/02
For what it's worth, here are the figures from this weeks issue of Automotive News.

Total 3203
Unfortunately, the dealers stock figure was not in this weeks issue so I can only imagine there are perhaps 700-900 unaccounted for.
In any case, we drivers do have a pretty rare piece of machinery.
In the same issue they discuss the new Rolls Royce Phantom which is expected to sell 1000 units a year for 10 years and similar figures have been posted for the new DB Maybach. These are cars costing $250-$350 thousand a whack.
My next door neighbor dealer is now out of stock although their sister dealership may still have some.
As a BTW, does anyone on this board have an "address" of someone within FMC or elsewhere that can tell us in general terms where these Blackwoods were sold? I know that Georgia did well as did Texas. California did not perhaps so well and I have read that the truck was a flop in the northern states due to lack of 4WD/AWD. Just curious if we could get a geographic picture of where they went.

The lack of 4wd was the only thing I didn't like about the truck. I got over that tho. 
I just figure if it snows bad, I drive the 250 & let my beauty sit nice & safe.

We are out on both ends, went back to work on Monday and no more Blackwoods! Guess when you advertise $20k off sticker price people hurry in and buy fast! I have a feeling alot of customers waited until we "gave" them away.
I should be able to find out where the Blackwoods went. I will call my Ford Rep tommorow and see if he can answer that question. Florida sold a few and believe it or not there was quiet a few sold in Alabama. I think we at Pugmire got the most out of any dealer, I know we traded some Navs for some Blackwoods too when they 1st came out!
