Does JDM filter work with JLP Ram Air?

I know this is question for JLP, but I currently have the JDM conical filter and want the JLP Ram Air for my '01 L. Do I have to buy the entire kit or can I buy everything but the filter and use my existing JDM filter? Thanks. Todd

I doubt it will save you much by just having the filter...but I would recommend the ram air. It looks great and is very functional!

Yes,It will work.I had it on my Lightning and on the engine compartment side,There is not difference other than a little vent coil pipe that comes up TO the filter. As log as you have a cone filter with the filter on the end too,It will work.WONT work on like the downs intake with the solid from of filter

Don't forget the new JLP ram air kits have a box and the scoop feeds the box, not the fender hole.
