Solobarics in a custom box in our trucks?

i was lookin at 10'' solobaric L5 or L7s for a dual set up in my truck and was wonderin if anyone had this or knew if it could fit. Also if they built their own box what the dimensions were. Also what amp would they recommend for this. Any help is appreciated.

It seems to me that everything they have is great and will work but i know thats not the case so i am just testin the water so to speak. I am glad to have it back. Its about time right?

Those subs will fit. They are designed for small enclosures. A few members here have 12" L's in their Lightnings.

What amp? The L7's are power hungry. They are rated at 600w RMS. It's my understanding that when underpowered they don't sound good.

That's correct! The need lots of power. I'm going to push mine with 2 1200.1 Kicker Amps.

Im working in trying to fit 2 12" ported.

Im still doing the math and working on it.

If i cant im gonna try 2 10's ported.

the problem is the port length and the depth.

I would run them off a Rockford bd1000.1 or a earthquake phd2.

It all depends on what you wanna spend and how you want it to sound.

Also to run 2 kicker 1200's is stupid. Its a waste of money.

How so?
Why buy such strong subs and underpower them?
To me, that's a waste of money.

I know I could have gone with an Orion XTR 2400.1, US Amps 2000X, Autotek 5000, etc. but I chose the Kickers for two reasons: (1) I got them both for $800 dollars at a local shop....basically the same cost for any other of these amps, and (2) everything I'm installing is Kicker.

I've used Kicker products for the past 10 years...since I was 16, and never had a problem.

I can't remeber the dimensions. I think each chamber was .98 cu/ft. And I didn't have to move the seat up at all.

I am starting to put together my system right now.

Going to use 2 L7 Kicker square 10's.

JL Audio 1000/1 Amp.

MB Quart 2 way Components

Using old Lanzer opti 100 to run those for now.

Not sure on head unit yet, i want the touchscreen Kenwood TV/dvd/mp3/yadayada player. But i might end up using the Sony MEX-5DI.

You might want to consider more than the 1000.1 for the L7s especially if they are going to be sealed. I had 1400 watts going to each of mine.
