Question 5.4 Block Questions

Is there any difference at all between a Lightning 5.4L block and any other Ford 5.4L block? Are they completely identical? I know the rods, and pistons are different but how about the crankshaft? Reason I'm asking is I have a line on a cheap shortblock, and was wondering if I could use it to build a new motor with the stronger bottom end.

Thanks in advance!

The block and the crank are identical.

Cool

HI!... Forged steel crank that's good for about 800h.p (flywheel). Here's a pic.
