Question 2003 Lowered 2"...?????????

I found this write up on the 2003 Lightning. Pretty much saw what I expected, but the following paragraph surprised me. It talks of the 2003 beiing lowered 2". Does this mean 2" lower than the 99-02's or does it mean lower than the regular XLT?

"The 2003 SVT F-150 benefits from improved chassis tuning for outstanding handling. Bilstein gas-charged shocks are the damper of choice at all four corners for their excellent control and ride characteristics. Unique chassis tuning also lowers the Lightning 2 inches in the rear and 1.5 inches in the front to improve the handling and give a more aggressive appearance."

Then it speaks of this, which sounds good. i do believe in this case it means better handling than 99-02 L's.

"The steering gear is revalved for 2003 and has better on-center feel and reduced lash."

Heres the link to where I found this...http://www.ford-trucks.com/specs/200...lightning.html

They are comparing the Lightning to a regular cab F-150 XLT. The L is 1.5/ 2" lower than a regular F-150.

That's not what it says. That's what caused me to question it. From the pics I have seen of it it looked higher to me. but then of course we all know that you can increase payload without raising the height.
