2002 5.4 4X4 at the track... time?
I know this is the L forum but you guys/gals are at the track way more than any of us so I thought I would ask you. Have any of you seen a stock 2002 4X4 run the quarter mile? What time did they get? I was just wondering how it would compare to the Dodge and Chevy’s. I already bought a 2002 F150 4X4 but have not been on a track and don’t want to pay the fine
Thanks for the info, anyone else? Compared to the Dodge Chevy V8’s stock.
I had a new Mustang in 90 till it got me in trouble that did 14’s (you all know the feeling
). And went to a Ranger 4 banger till the insurance dropped down. Then got a straight six (best engine I ever will own) then got this 5.4.
Man going from the 5.0 Mustang to the 4 banger ranger killed me!!!! Never did look back till I got the 5.4, kind of sets me back in the seat and reminds me about the 5.0 Mustang.
Thanks whitetoast11 I’ll do that.

My best friend has a Chevy w the 5.3 in it. It was faster than my 5.4. The dodge I'm not sure I just recently drove one of those, All I can say is that I don't like it and that my HD is faster(DUH). Hope this helps.

I just ran my supercrew 4x4 for our final CCB race at the local 1/8 track a couple of days ago because the chip for the L was in the mail for a reburn.
Times were consistent as follows:
60' = 2.32
1/8 =10.24 @ 67.84mph
Mostly stock, some mild bolt-ons, no chip, full weight plus side steps, full tanks of gas, and about 50 lbs of dried mud
My 1/8 to 1/4 multiplier is about 1.55 in the L, a similar ratio I assume applies here.
Est 1/4 = 1.55 x 10.24 = 15.9 sec
Thus, stock looks to be about low 16 sec.

4x4 times...
Along with my L, I have a 2000 F150 4x4 Off Road that I have taken to the track several times. According to the scale at Englishtown, the truck weighed in at a hefty 5400 lbs without me in it, I am about a buck eighty, so depending on how much gas I had, it was pretty close to 5600lbs. The best time I ever got out of that lead sled was a 16.015 @ 84.4 mph. That was with just a K&N cone filter in the stock airbox and a Flowmaster cat-back exhaust. Not too bad considering the weight...I guess...
