What is a DPFE sensor? And what does it stand
for?
This sensor was faulty which caused my S.E.S
light to come on and caused the stuttering,
hesitation in my truck.

 

The sensor is is Differential Pressure Feedback EGR sensor. Its a differential pressure transducer that measures the pressure drop across an orifice on the EGR plumbing so that the ECU can measure EGR flow.

Its located on top of the engine somewhere. I know I've seen it but can't remember where. Ford has used these things for many years no.

 

AZ what is the code that your getting? My light came on last night and I went to the local parts store, ran the OBD and I think that the code was 0401 . I have it written down at home. Just thought you might know off the top of your head. Damon
