winter project

Got my new hood last week and took it to the body shop today. Also need advice , I put the L away for the winter. I put it up on jack stand so the tires would not get flat spot. I put the stands under the rear axle and the front lower control arms. or is it better to have the suspension hang freely by putting the stands on the frame? sorry I have not been on the site for a couple of weeks due to my grandfather in the hospital.

Sweet looking hood........I hope you did a test fit before you sent it to the body shop for prep/paint.

Leave your jacks where they are, under the axle housings and the control arms is fine.

Thanks for the response. The body shop fitted the hood on for me and also I took the old hood to them to match it.

I may be wrong, but I have always been told it is better for your suspension to suspend it from the frame. That way there is no un-due stress on the shocks and tortion bars.

Like I said, I may be wrong. I was wrong once before.
