HID fog

I went with the HID fogs because I dispise yellow lights (yes I know all of the advantages) The HIDkits kit hits the focal point dead on, so that's not much of an issue.

I haven't had my lenses crack at all. I would guess the lower heat from the bulbs is making the lenses a bit happier.

Which kit are you using for the fogs coldie, 9006? How do they match your Sylvanias, color wise?

I figured, why drop $500+ on hid fogs with an improper beam pattern opposed to a functional fog for less then 1/2 the price. I wont have to worry about cracked fog lenses either. Not bad for $230. The yellow offsets the HID color quite well. Ala Lexus
The 959's will run as hot as the HIDs, and they run at 5 times the wattage. HIDs are more efficient then regualr bulbs, period. Thats one reason they cost so much. You won't crack a foglight anymore with an HID then you will with a filament bulb. To attempt to get anywhere near the lumens of an HID bulb, you need to run atleast 110watts in your filament lights.

The 4000K level Xenons are brigher then an equivilent wattage 8000K bulb, they will be a whiter, more SUN color, 8000K will be heading toward a purplish tinge... 8000K's do tend to cost more.

If you buy a quality HID kit, there is no beam pattern problems. The line there is you get what you pay for. Cheap is cheap.

The 2001+ trucks have different foglight bulbs then 1999-2000, so its easy to get the hidkit for it.

The Xenarc is the easiest to install kit, since it is a complete assembly. If you'd like a dual-beam light, the best qualtiy is Beloff, though its about $1100 for the 9007 kit. The best quality for value around at the moment would be HIDKits 9007 kit, I believe its ~$700. They are true dual-beam HID kits (the light moves).
