Sorry to hear that Don. For anyone that's never got stuck in the rain with a lot of torque and slicks on the rear, I can tell you from personal experience it's a scary combination, That poor Lightning had no choice but to pull over, that sucks that someone rear ended them. I once got stuck in a Big Block Chevelle and after 3 OUT OF NO-WHERE 360's on the Parkway, I finally made it to work and spent lunch time at a junk yard buying rims and tires for the ride home that night.

I hate seeing smashed up L's after what happen to our Pal Pat
and all the Awesome L's we lost this year

Its sad to see them wrecked. I would much rather see some SS's with a dude with a mullet smashing up his car.

At least our truck value is retained.

Rob_02 Lightning,

Your pal Pat is right here, The Black Lightning is in the California salvage yard I' am going to bid on it today it looks like a good one ot fix up. I was thinking of flying my brother down to California to look at it and make sure there is no frame damage.

The Pic (sweet home of the happy and free)

I feel the same way when I see SVO's wrecked. I just smashed my quarter panel after a ricer locked up infront of me for no reason and made me do the same. After smacking a Atlanta UNDERCOVER DETECTIVE in a Grand Prix, I was on the side of the hwy almost in tears. Luckly the detective was a gear head and saw the whole thing go down before I hit him. I didn't get a ticket, but my near perfect SVO has a huge concave quarter panel that I have yet to cut off. IT SUCKS!!!!

Every day I ask myself WHY!!!, WHY!!!, WHY!!!!

But live and learn. I don't drive that mustang anymore. I will try to get it fixed soon and then I might drive it to SVO reunions. It's my baby!!

How about some pics of the svo......Funny how they look a little too similar to the 87 light set up.Ford knows what they are doing way ahead of themselves.I love those turbos.I drove one once and it was a dog just like any 4cyl until the boost came on and spun me around in a circle

I'm sure a little rubbing compound and some elbow grease can fix all these up!

TO answer the question, I do not think it will buff out, but a paint job might take care of it.

I really don't have any good close ups. Once I get it back to my house, I can take better ones and add them to my gallery. right now it is hanging out at my parents how, since I just moved into a new house. I have to sell my truck96 Ranger SuperCab) to make room.
