Smile Real lightweight racing rims.

I've been on a quest for lightweight racing rims. (ie, less then 20lbs a rim while still being 18x10)

I've come up with this small list, but so far I havn't had a chance to find out if the offset/pattern and weight will be alright for the truck, so I figured I'd ask if anyone else where if they'd know while I wait for replies from some wheel guys...So far the Volks look like the lightest at 16.8lbs/rim...the little number to the right is the weight of the wheel.

Advan Racing RA3-DT 20
BBS RC 19
BBS RCJ 18
Fiske FM-10 20
Nismo LM GT Magnesium 17
Tecnomagnesio MT 5B2 20
*Volk SE37K 16.8
Wed's TC-005 19

I also scoped out some possible 17's to increase my tire variety:
Duralight 17x10 18
Litespeed 17x10 18
Speedline Race 17x10 19

Will 17's work with your front brakes?

Send me the brakes Dan, then you can run 17"
You know us old guys don't have the reaction time like you whippersnappers and could use the BIG brakes

Yeah, I didn't think so either, but I wanted to check. I only got weights so far, no other measurements.

Pete : lol, I'm hoping the christmas bonus will be big enough for both.

RT : The Weld's are not as light as the others, I looked.

Due to out bolt pattern though, I may not be able to have much choice...possibly the Fiske wheels.

Monocoque Wheels has a website. However, it seems to be down. I did find this though.

The 18x8 are about 21lbs. The 18x9.5's are about 22lbs. The 16x8's weigh about 17lbs each. I weighed them on a bathroom scale so the weights are not exact. The welds will not work with Brembo brakes. I'll either grind mine or remove the Brembos.

I think these are very inexpensive pretty light wheels. Around $1900 for 2 18x8's, 2- 18x9.5's, and 2-16x8's including the special lugs, valve stems, and shipping. Took about a month to get them.

No welds for me. :P Actually, my calipers are ground to fit the backspacing of stock 2000 rims, so they might fit.

So far I am thinking I'll end up with Fiske or BBS RCJ's.
