will a stock 03 cobra out run my truck. my mods are listed below. ii'm talking about through the 1/8 and the 1/4 mile. thanks

 

what does you truck run? I see your mods but have you been to the track yet?

 

With a good driver in the Cobra I would say it would be close to dead even in the 1/8th and maybe he might pull a 1/2 car length in the 1/4. Just my thoughts though.

my truck run 8.60 on the 22's with just a 2.15 60ft never could get it to hook up. there isn't a 1/4 mile track close so i don't know about the 1/4.

I have a 8.600 1/8th mile time @ 81.62mph. This resulted in a 13.429 @ 101.98mph. I'd say the Cobra should beat that. My truck was stock except for a panel K&N at the time. My truck still doesn't have a chip or added boost and my best 1/8th is a 8.499, I would think that a Cobra would be faster than that. Its prolly the 22's hurtin' you...no traction.

 

Whats your mile per hour in the 1/8th?

 

my best is 88.9. my buddy has an ss camaro and he runs 8.20s and from a 20 roll on the street were a pretty good race. i just can't do no dead stops. plus at the tracks around here there crap if u don't have slicks.

 

I'd say that you have enough Horsepower to make for a damn interesting race...but you need to hook it to the ground and low-profile 22's ain't gonna get it. Good luck and keep us posted.
