Exhaust??

I am almost done with mods for my truck performance wise. I still need to get a D/S loop and as of right now my exhaust is still stock. I have been thinking about a full JDM setup but I heard it takes up to two months to get. I don' t really wanna wait for it, but if it's worth it I will. Any other suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

Bassani, before they all chime in. Probably the best, and you pay for the best. It's no bargain but it IS good and sounds great. JDM is good. Not as expensive. There are many. Searcch exhaust and spend the week reading. LOL

If you order during the winter you should get it faster. There won't be any product being held back for sale at racing events. It shouldn't take 2 months in anyway. I think the going wait is much shorter. More like 1 to 1.5 months or so. It really is a nice system. The Silver Bullet sounds great.

Not too sure about the Bassani. I've heard it had a raspy tone to it. Haven't actually heard one though. I work with a guy who has the Mac catback. Sounded good. I know I'm not gonna pick up much performance wise, I'm just looking for a better sound.

I've heard them called raspy too. I think the reason some people say that is because the sound is unique and hard to describe.

You should hear one personally and make your mind up if possible. Personally, and it's not because I sell them, I think it's the best sounding catback on the market. That is why I chose to sell them. I had mine long before I decided to become a vendor but when I did become a vendor I knew that I would sell Bassani only.

The Mack catback does have a good sound. I have a good friend that has one. The only problem I see with Mack is the material it's made from. Bassani is stainless steel and will last a heck of a long time. They have a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser.

I'm still not convinced that any catback out there will give any real performance gains. If all your going for is sound/looks, then MAC is the best bang for the buck IMO. I bought the MAC because it sounded great and you can't beat the big chrome tips.

Get with Chickenears.....he'll hook you up with a MAC at half the price of a Bassani or Silver Bullet

O.k. I am getting closer to a decision. The Mac is the best bang for the buck, but the materials used to make it don't compare to the Silver Bullet or the Bassani. What size tips do the catbacks have?? I am looking to fill up the cut out in the side skirt a little more.

Check out a single Magnaflow catback (2in, 2out) and have it installed READY for the high flow cats and headers when and if you decide to do them. This set-up for me sounds reasonable in town and on the highway but roars under WOT. My two cents worth.
