Any suggestions?
I’ve had my truck back to the dealer 3 times and I don’t want them messing with it anymore. When I put my truck in park 2 out of 3 times my key won’t come out of the ignition, so I have the take the selector and move it counter clock wise toward park so it will release the key. It’s like the linkage needs adjusted, I’ve talk to the mechanic and he said he adjusted in the cab and down by the transmission and can’t get it to work right. Any suggestions?
The TRS (Transmission Range Sensor) is out of adjustment, you need a special tool to get it right, but here's a trick I use. Disonnect the linkage at the manual lever on the tranny, move the manual lever to where the index mark is on the TRS (it's a line on the outside of the white plastic circle on the switch), no in the cab of the trcuk, put the shift quadrant in N, and hook it back up without moving the manula lever, the index mark is N on the switch, so if you get the two lined up, your TRS is right. If this doesn't work, shoot me an address and I'll let you borrow my tool, it's a cheap little thing but it works.
Hope this helps,

Hey Factory_Tech, How do I disconnect linkage at the manual lever on the tranny?? Does it just snap off of a ball like on carburetor linkage??? I don't want to break it or anything. Also once I get it off how do I adjust it? It looks like it slides along some teeth but I'm not sure how to release the teeth either.
