It's a 2002 Lightning. Just bought a chip and need to know where the ECU is to install it. Any help would be great.

passenger side above kick panel, to the right of the glove box. the connector is a 10mm bolt on the engine compartment side of the firewall.

Wink

Well here is his list of mods, maybe this list was his wish list.
Anyway, maybe he has stepped back and looked at how some of his posts were in the beginning, and is trying to set it straight and start over. Just a thought, to me he is part of the Lightning family so I will welcome him for a second time. Come clean and you are in the family my brother...

Kegger,
If it is the first time installing a chip and you do not even know where the computer is I would definately seek help.Is there anybody located by you that has done this before.
There is countless things that can go wrong.
First you can bend any one of the 100 or so prongs, you can not properly clean the contacts,Seat the chip properly.

I see from your sig that you have a lot of radio stuff. Then you know it does not take much to screw up electronics.

I am a little surprised with a 150 shot and a 6# lower you have never messed with the chip though, but anyway.BE CAREFUL.

HA, I totally missed that. my memory sucks, I forgot he was the little joker that came on here and acted like an A$$ in the beginning.

In any case, he was certainly very pleasant this time, so I think we should let the previous behavior slide. maybe he's turned over a new leaf or something? just my .02
