I can see how the webmaster may have thought that I was trying to flame people on from the last thread that I started, but I wasn't. I won't say what the Subject was since this one will likely get deleted as fast.

I've been reading posts on the F-150 site for over a year, but just registered and started posting in October 2002. I've been to other message boards over the past few years depending on what car I had. There are a lot of knowledgable people who post on this site who really know there stuff and like to offer their knowledge to complete strangers. Just an observation, but in the recent couple of months the anger and flame level on this site really has intensified. I guess it is like when you have a group of close friends that contantly hang out with each other every day. Eventually you may get fighting from within and people pissed off at one another, but in the end things usually work out.

Just figured I would say that.

 

Sorry I deleted it, yy. I fear that any thread like this will go downhill...fast...because of the immaturity of a handful of individuals. I will keep it open as long as it is productive this time, but if it gets out of hand, I will delete it.

I have been hanging around much longer then I have been posting, maybe a year before cause I only had my gen 1 and I felt like this was more of a gen2 site, so most of my posting was done on NLOC gen 1 section.. But besides all of that .. YOU ARE CORRECT. .. Flame Level is Uppppppp and thats not good... Discussion is great, but its gone beyond that....

I was wrong, and your right, a few differant people could have taken it. It was a bad night we all want to forget. Hurt and Anger sometimes makes me say things I don't mean. I made up with Mike and hope all is cool with you too.

I agree tempers are up. Between the stress of the Holiday, the crappy NY weather preventing us from doing Mods, and the string of Blown motors and accidents, I think we're all on edge.

Ya nerves seems to be fried around here in recent weeks. It gets this way once in a while. I wonder if it just the fact that a lot of trucks are put away for the winter.

 

I would agree that the hostility has increased in the no-fly zone.

I have been reading alot of posts on the Lightning forum the past month and have come up with a theory.

The amount of people here with chipped trucks is amazing. These chips change the tuning parameters of the Lightnings. It seems the most beneficial change is the A/F ratios(lean and mean).
I noticed that as the weather cooled around the country, the
"MY ENGINE JUST BLEW UP!!!!" posts increased.

Blowing an engine is an expensive, and thus Highly Emotional, issue. Most folks get an immediate rush of "awe sh#t" followed up by some quick research to see if there is some way to ease the feelings of stupidity, that always come to us when we screw up.

After the research, usually on this or a few other boards, they start to think that maybe their chip or some other mod. caused the problem.
At this point we have the theory of,"IT'S COMING OUT OF SOMEBODIES *** AND IT AIN'T MINE" kick in until the realization that it is theirs hits home.
now it's, Get Even time...LMAO.

I will stop there to avoid the thread getting closed because the rest will inevitably lead to hostile action....LOL.
