How many scratches on your Lightning?

I personally have 2 through the clear coat and a ding from installing my new Silverstars as well as a botched roof repaint. All considering I guess I am doing ok I just wish I had the money to get it repaired it bothers the heck out of me. I know I cant be the only one. Post them up.

You need to do what I do, get a Handi-Cap Permit and only park in the big blue spaces My roof has some kind of Black Silicone where they tried to hide a paint defect, even know you can't see it, it bothers me knowing it's there. Other than that and a couple of small surface scratches from washing and waxing, I'm still good after 8 or 9 months. The first one (ding) is always the worse, I hope I can avoid that.

Hey, it's Black and it's Beautiful, thats all that matters.

never had a scratch or ding in the three years/41,000 on my 99. the roof was re-painted, and they did a good job blending it. the rain chanels still did't have good paint adhesion though.
my new 02 is very clean... only 500 miles

I didn't have any either until last Monday (when someone backed into me) I should get it back next Tuesday ($1800 in damage) After looking at some of these crashed Ls on the boards lately, i guess mine wasen't to bad.

I have two dings in my drivers door. One, where someone opened their door into mine, and one where some mother f%#$^er threw a Heineken bottle at it. They will be getting repaired next week hopefully.

Even though I padded underneath the engine stand from the gizmatron pictured below, the stand took the paint clear off in the bed in four spots. So, between that and other scratches in the bed, a bunch. But, none on the rest of the truck.

I got four open holes when I put a luggage rack on the roof. Didn't like so I took it off. Now when it rains it leaks.

I surely hope I am misreading your post... and you were able to understand what i meant in that statement.

I know he didn't mean to do it but it doesn't stop the dent from being there and pissing me off...

sue? LOL not my style sorry. As a matter of fact he doesn't know about the dent, I saw no need to tell him and make him feel bad over it.

wait.... now i remember why I stopped posting over here

Had a 10 inch faint scratch on my front passenger side fender, When the Ford Dealer was installing the new motor the airhose scratched the corners of the front bumper all to hell, They buffed it and swirled it and burned it so, They painted it after a fight.
