42# injectors

I can get a matched set of 42#injectors pretty cheap, and if I do that I probably would need a bigger fuel pump(I think) what kind of performance do you think I would get from them if any,are they worth getting???

Frank,
I have the same basic Filter-chip-n-4lb pulley Mods as you to run my 12.8 on F-1's. I believe a fuel system Mod is on the right track.
I was running an additional 2-3 lb upper all summer and couldn't do better than a 13.1. With all that extra boost I was all of a sudden getting an off and on "starving for gas" feeling at the track while running. It wasn't until I changed the fuel filter and went to a 4lb pulley only that i got my 12.8 My filter was clogged but even when I ran my 12.8, I once again felt the off and on thing, not as bad, but it was there.

This is what I'm buying to correct the problem:
Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator and Gauge Kit
1999-current Ford Lightning & 2002-current Harley-Davidson F-150
Price: $195 shipped!!
Here's my question to them.
I have a question about your Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator and Gauge Kit. Is it a easy install? Does the guage stay on it at all times, if it does, where does it mount? Will it help those of us that seem to have a starving for gas feeling at WOT due to running your 2-3 uppers and 4lb lowers ??? Do I need a chip reburn for it ???
Thanks
Rob
2002 Lightning

Here's my answer
Rob, the Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator kit will enhance your
Lightning's performance and eliminate the starving for more fuel at wide open throttle. You can install it simply on the fuel rail and run the 3' Stainless Steel Braided hose over to the drivers side and secure it with a Tie Wrap, when adjusting the fuel pressure. All instructions come with the kit and our recommended fuel pressure setting. You Do Not need a Chip re-burn for this to enhance what you have, just install, set it, and you are ready to experience yet greater performance results immediately.

I'm gonna give it a try, plus I'll finally be able to check my fuel pressure now and then to see how it is, and when the filters clogged.

I was pushing 18psi w/ the KB and 16.5-18psi with the Eaton on the stock fuel system. My Air/Fuels stay in the high 10.x:1 or low 11.x:1. I installed a boost a pump since I will be moving to around 20psi. The stock fuel system will do 500+ HP.
