Emissions...

Hey I have a Chip, #4 Pulley and a filter kit.. Will this effect anything when I have to bring it in for emissions Inpection...

I passed our states inspection with similar mods and more. They did a OBD-II scan, visual, and sniffer tests.

speaking of which, has anyone had trouble passing emmisions with long tubes? or any other 'extreme' mods?

Mine paseed Massachusetts Emisions, which are the same as Calif and I have a lot more mods.

I think it is pretty amazing that 11 second cars/trucks are totally emissions legal.

I passes Emissions here in CT.
They check for Cats, Purge fuel cap, and CO/HC/NOX

I have LT headers, Mass Air, Heads and E303 Cam, along with a everything else and my Cats and Airpump are still hooked up.
I actually ran through cleaner now than when the truck was new. CT is now switching to a new Program where the Inspection facilities are replaced by Service stations that will be certified to do the emission inspections.

The 93 on my user name indicates my 93 lighting... what year is yours...

In CA they would probably bounce you on the visual part of the test. They would look for an EO# on the filter setup. They would never figure out that there was a pulley, but the test equipment might show up the chip.

The bottom line is, the whole setup would probably still pass the dyno test with everything left on it.

Well the plan is, this truck Reg expires in 04, just in time for me to buy my new one and tow this one.
