Thumbs up Anyone thinking of buying an 03 check out this site!!!

Don't flame me if this has been posted a million times before but I just came accross it today and thought I would post it. I was trying to figure out what the Sonic blue 03 would look like when I came accross this link. It lets you choose the color you want and it changes the truck. Its helping me decide on Sonic blue or Dark Shadow Grey and looking at this I think I'm going with Sonic blue. If you've seen this before a million times please don't flame me on it but let the people this would benefit enjoy it. Let me know your thoughts.

Pete

I would wait and see it in person. All of the colors except the blue look lifeless, yet we know they look sharp in the flesh.

Thanks for the site. I just found the answer to the question somebody asked me on weight distribution.

Weight Distribution, f/r: 57% / 43%

Andy -- thats one reason I'm jealous of Stan, he relocated his engine and tranny back some and got a better bias! Agh, wish I had those skills.

blue02lightning,

You may want to check out the Mustang at a dealership. They are comming in sonic blue. I looked at one and thought it looked pretty cool on the stang. It has a purple tint to it at certain angles.
I was tempted but had some concern about how the color would look on a big truck.
I went with the black instead

I just checked out that link. That color they are showing does not accurately depict the sonic blue. It is most likely due to the difference in the way colors look in screen pixels.

The sonic blue stang I saw had alot more of a purple color to it than that pic has.

I would go look at a stang in the sonic blue before you order your baby in that color, unless they will let you order it in a different color if you don't like it.

That grey looks good. I have seen a few Fords around here in the grey lately.

purple????

i've seen three 03 cobra's at the track this year in sonic and they looked great. I have pictures of one when it first came out, but i can tell you, i don't know where youre getting purple from???? It's definetely blue. It's awesome.

LOL....the purple color seemed to come out when the sun would hit it at different angles.

I dunno...I was a hippy kid in the 70's.....maybe that stuff really does stick with you forever. Typically when there are no tracers, the colors I see are pretty accurate

Those are the same lame photoshoped colors they have used for years... The real colors are not that close to that... Go to dealership and look before passing judgement on a color

I'm with Rocks on this. I just went through the same thing and finally went with black. Up close looking directly at a sonic blue car it is definitely blue, but when you step back it's got some purple. I checked it out in the mustang, focus, ranger, and I even saw it on an F250. The bigger the vehicle got the more purple I saw. It's not a bad color, it's just not my style, but don't be deceived by the SVT site, it looks nothing like that.

Other than the color screw-ups the site itself is ok.

Hello bluelightning,

Just to make sure you don't get the wrong idea, I was trying to convince junior that he was out of line, hence his comment to me about not caring if he gets banned.
I deleted my posts to give him a hint.

I have an 03 L arriving the week of christmas...black...I am preying it actually gets here that quick.

Your alright in my book. I have no problems with anything you post.

Well I hadnt

been to the site for a long while since I bought my L... what is new to me is the little movies showing the L being assembled.. that was pretty cool.. to bad they dont have it in one movie.. but still pretty cool.. went through the Corvette plant once and then they chose my (ex)wife to do the road test and dyno.. it was a ZR-1(yep it was a long time ago) anyway, when she came back she was ready to buy one right there..
