apc l.e.d. replacement bulbs

Is anybody using these 3157 replacement bulbs in their L? I saw them at the parts store today and thought they would look cool with the l.e.d. high mount. I noticed they had them marked "for Ford use" "for Chevy use" "for Dodge use" I don't see what difference it would make. The name of the company is apc and their website www.4apc.net was no help.

Put them in and took them out... if you have a 99 or 00 they may be okay... but the clear lens for 01 on up... it just doesn't show up like you think it would.

I put the "Chevy" ones in my taillights and I blew fuses everywhere as soon as I started up the truck. Different resistance in the bulbs maybe? The Ford ones worked like a charm but I seem to keep blowing one "side" of the LED fairly fast, and at $16 CDN a piece it really blows. But when they work, they sure do light up my clear tail lenses.
