Thumbs up Lookie what I got today.....

Ordered them Monday, as I said yesterday. Got them today.

https://www.f150online.com/galleries...0771&anum=3020

Boy was I was surprised. According to a certain locked thread, I shouldn't have received them for at least another, like, another like, 5 years, right? But my credit card should have been charged before I hung up the phone while ordering them. I guess miracles do happen, eh? Order Monday, receive Wednesday...you get it.

Now my quandary. I work from home on Thursdays. Do I install them tomorrow while I'm 'hard at work, working from home'? Or do I do the moral thing and wait until Saturday? Decisions decisions.

See ya'

Dan

ps - something tells me I'm gonna have a little dirt under my fingernails when I show up at work Friday.

Justin,

Yep. We talked back in June when I was asking some questions about the Lightning for sale in Linden. WOW I'm glad I didn't buy it!

I don't know if you were in the shop the day my wife and I stopped by with my truck. It was late June and Rich was checking all of the mods based on the invoice I had from the previous owner who had the Stage I&II stuff done. I spoke to Jim for a bit too. He showed us the shop.etc. If you were there and we weren't introduced, I apologize.

So, yes, I've caught the mod bug. I realize shackles aren't that much, but it's a start when you've already got Stage I & II, right? And I don't think a 4#er is too far in the distant future either.

Thanks for remembering. Catch you later...

Dan

Hey Dan are you the guy I met that day when you just got your truck.

The story of the truck with the JDM mods sounds familiar.

Hey Dan,

Tomorrow is going to be a "Snow Day". Good thing you are working from home ...wink, wink.

If I am back from Florida in time, we may be taking another run at Atco before the holidays. My friend is getting his Vette finished again. Last time out he ran a 10.50 while ventilating the block, grinding up 2 pistons, wrecking brand new aluminum heads, shooting a rod through a brand new Canton pan, and oiling the top end of E-town. The funny thing is that the only reason he went to E-town was to weigh it and that never got done.

Paul,

Let me know if you go again. When does Atco close for the season?

Would love to see your bud's Vette. Cartek? I'd like to make a request though..can I make a pass before he does?

May'be if we look harder, we'll find the scale at Atco. Out in the woods somewhere, maybe.

Take Care...

Dan

p.s. no shackles today. actually working. the nerve!!

No but the guy that owns? the used car lot, lives a couple blocks from me. I saw him driving a red Lightning with dealers plates on it last year. Now he's driving a Harley truck. He's got a SS454 Chevy truck sitting outside his house. And when I driven by and the garage door is open, I can see a 87/88/89 Monte Carlo with a blower jumping out of the hood.
BTW Everytime I saw him driving the Lightning he was driving like an old lady
