2" shackle questions
I did a search on this but I still have a couple of questions.
1. Will I need a front end alignment?
2. Assuming I don't need the alignment(I don't think I should) will I have to re-aim my headlights?
3. I noticed a lot of people using belltech but all I see on their site is a 1" shackle. Am I missing something?
4. Will I need to adjust the pinion angle of the rear end?
5. Can I expect better launches/overall handling?
6. Does anybody notice increased tire wear from this mod? Those 18's ain't cheap.
Thanks a lot people

shackles
Let me see if I can answer your questions.
1) You shouldn`t need an alignment, I didn`t when I had them on my truck.
2) Your headlights will be fine.
3) The Bell Tech shackle is a 2" drop, the number on the box that mine came in is 6400, I think thats the part number.
4) No, with the 2" shackles your pinion angle will change minus 2 degrees, but when you hit the gas the torque and spring movement actually bring the pinion angle back to stock under load. or you can use a 2 degree shim if you want it back to factory spec.
5) I don`t know about launches, I don`t race, but the drop shackles actually made my truck ride smoother.
6) I never had any problems with tire wear.
I hope this helps.
Larry.

Ya like Larry said,
I put them on, made no changes, and like them. I ran 1.9 60's every time before them, and still do (on bald F-1's) I did manage a 1.8 60 with the shackles once so far.
Mine are half the price, if you need a link, e-mail me.
