Nitto 555R vs. Rain!

Hey guys...

I was thinking about getting a couple Nitto 555R drag tires for the L, but now that it will start raining quite a bit here in Northern Cali, i was wondering for those who have them how well they do in the rain?? I know that ill have to drive careful, thats obvious, but are they RELATIVELY safe to drive in wet conditions?

THANKS!

I have driven in the rain with mine. They do have tread and even though it wears quickly they work well.

I've been using Nittos for about 4 years on my Mustang, and they work great in the rain. Just like a regular street tire. If they're bald, of course they won't work, but otherwise, no problems at all.

We got ~50 inches of rain here a year and I've had mine on since they were first introduced with no problems. Just go easy on the go pedal and you will be ok.

Rain is no problem for the 555R's. As good as the F1's no doubt. Just make sure the temperature stays well north of 50 degrees. Anything under that and its like driving on oil.

In the east bay. I've had since they came out and no problems in the rain.
