Thumbs up JDM Traction Bars

I finally had some passes this weekend on the JDM Traction bars (bent brackets and all) that I installed a few weeks ago. I just have to give the . I figured that Atco was .1 faster in the 60' than E-town because Mrinaldi ran a tenth quicker in the short and I ran .2 quicker all day on F1's. Mike was always a about a tenth quicker than me on the 60'. So by my calculations...(2, carry the one plus 3 minus 5), the bars gave me a tenth (average) on the short time. Not bad.

Ya those bars are a awesome mod. Install and forgett about them, they just plain work.

Wait till you get a set of slicks, then you will really see how they work.

JDM bars and Hoosier slicks, putting the power down.

The only problem I had were the mounting brackets bent where the U-bolts go through. I used a torque wrench on the bolts, but the brackets still bent. JDM wanted me to come down there so they could look at them but it is kind of a pain in the arsh for me.

I tried a set of ET Streets this weekend at Atco. Of the three passes, only one (1.79) was better than the F1's. The tires were sitting around for awhile and it was the first time launching an L on stickier tires so there was a big learning curve. I also think I ran too much pressure in them. One of the runs (2.05) I actually got sideways on before they hooked.

Ran a 12.38 though on the 1.79 pass.
