19 degrees on the way to work this morning here in NY. Weather Man says snow is coming tomorrow ???? Who knows, but all I got to drive right now is the Lightning, I'm afraid to touch the pedal when it's so cold with everyone blowing Motor's lately

*** YOU FORD, this is gonna cost me $42,000.00 when it's paid off in 6 years and I have to worry everytime I drive it that it's gonna blow up because my filters clogged, or I got bad gas, or it's running lean because the computer added 3 degrees of timing or or or ......

Don't anyone give me that BS if you wanna play you gotta pay.
Each and everyone of our L's, are a time bomb ready to explode,
Stock, Modded, whatever.... Some are just Luckier than others.

Try attempting to get out of bed not just to go drive in it, but to walk accross campus in a "blizzard" to get to class, and you know you have to go cuz if you don't you will miss important review information for the final. That was me Monday morning... and this morning I woke up to at least -10* for the same situation... its great fun, you guys really are jealous

You MUST be joking right?

First of all, Ford charges about $32,600 for one of these trucks, if you are paying 10,000 in interest because you want to buy a vehicle you can't afford, then that's not fords fault.

Second of all, you must not be but so worried about your truck blowing up or you wouldn't have put those mods on it. Take off your chip and pulley and then drive the truck like ford designed it to run! you'd have alot less to worry about, and then if it did break it'd be covered by warranty too.

Thirdly, how is it fords fault if the filter actually worked and stopped the crap in the gas you bought from getting into your injectors or you engine? how is it fords fault if you bought a bad tank of gas???

Also, if your computer added 3 degrees of timing, it probably wouldn't hurt a damn thing if your tuner hadn't already pushed the timing to the limit with the chip that YOU installed.

I certainly didn't consider my '01 a "timebomb ready to explode". If I had thought that I certainly wouldn't be buying ANOTHER one.

You are asking a little bit much if you ask me... because of course you know IF YOU WANNA PLAY, YOU GOTTA PAY!

sincerely,
chris haynie

ChampagneFrost - Trust me, I know what it's like. I went to GMI - right up the street (a little ways) from you. I spent four years walking back and forth in the cold and the crap. It got to a point two years ago where the city couldn't pay plow drivers, and we all lived in a winter wonderland of 2 feet of snow. Walking to class was a trip. My truck was buried in the garage at one point - couldn't get it out until everything thawed.

GMI? As in the school now known as Kettering? Don't you guys that go there hardly ever have to go outside? I have a friend that goes there, last year when I had to walk to class in the snow he's talking about how his dorm connects to where his classes are and rubbing my 20 min walk in my face! But I'm sure even if you lived anywhere in this state for 4 years, you had to bear the cold too Its a pain, but monday when it was all snowy, as much as I didn't want to walk to class and be cold, it was really pretty, I'd miss the winter and snow if I lived anywhere else... Just like you said... Its a Winter Wonderland, and who doesn't want a white Christmas? I may complain somtimes, but I do love it here.

Snow did the city of Flint wonders - it hid all of the bad stuff.
Yes, GMI is now Kettering. I got two diploma's from there - one of each name... and I just can't go with the Kettering name for some reason.
I lived in the dorm for a year and we had a tunnel that connected to the academic building... nice in the winter. After that, I moved off campus and had a 10-15 minute walk to class each day.... I lived in the 'hood.... we had pimps, drug dealers, and I swear that I saw Fat Albert once. Flint is a very odd town - nothing like I have ever seen... nobody gives a hoot about anything... even the cop's. But, I can tell my kids one day that I walked through the street corner with the highest per capita murder rate in the world.
