1 Rim made this weekend.

I just can't resist posting. This is an exact replica with all dimensions proportional to my 02 rim. It took 1 day to design for manufacturing, 1 day to create the toolpaths about 35 operations, 1 afternoon to CNC mill, manually lathe, dremel (balance), and polish. Now if I just had another 4 day weekend!

Thanks guys!

It is an HPI Nitro RS4 2 racer, modified to the max. It has every available option. I even made the chassis. Kind of serpent like. The rim is 6061-T6 aluminum. I got to looking at the RC truck and wish that I had nicer rims on it. I couldn't even find the 00 rims. But billet is the way to go.

The pic doesn't do it justice. I'll post a closer shot tomorrow with the tire off. It's so cool looking that I want to put the rim in glass or something, and take it to work.

i have the shumacher nitro fusion with with an hpi lightning body.I would pay to have a set of those made for mine.I had my neighbor who is a cop clock mine at 82 mph on my residential street. Thats an 800 mph lightning if it was built to scale with an 2500 hp engine.
