Factory head unit question

Ok folks finally decided the way I am going to go. need some help on the wiring though.

Using factory head unit. Simply going to install a MTX 4250D mono amp to push the two kicker 10's in a MTX thunderform. The amp does have speaker level inputs and I need to know if I should simply tap into the rear speaker wires and run a wire to the amp or should I buy a Line out convertor and come off of the rear speakers with wire to it then RCA to the amp? After talking to crutchfield, for all the good that may do, they tell me I do not need a line out covertor sincer I have speaker level inputs. Let me know how you would do it if it were your truck. No replacing factory head unit is not an option right now. Also how would you get to the rear speaker wires in order to tap into them?

Thanks again for everyones help.

Speaker level inputs=you don't need the converter.
if your amp doesn't have line level inputs then you will need it.
OOPS

I jumped speaker level inputs from both rear corners to a JBL 8" and later a Bazooka RS series selfpowered 10". I had no problems. The Infinities in the rear didn't seem to mind either.
