yeah i know why seperates are better, thats why i have them..but thanks ! ..no they are not eaqually spaced from my head ...but that's the closest i could get while still blending them in a bit........i like how you guys have them mounted in the door ..looks nice ...another good spot for imaging would be at the corners of the dash where they meet the windsheild...fireing upwards and bouncing off the glass......

Mine are installed in the same place, just a couple inches back from there. Overall sound quality is great.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have a similar question.

I am working on my sons 2001 F150 standard cab. I bought him the Polk DB series 6.5" component set for the doors. I am not sure where to mount the tweeter and I am not sure where to put the crossover. Inside the door has room for the crossover, but cant find a good way to do it. Getting the 6.5" to fit into the 6x8 hole is being a pain but I am still working on it. I bought the scosche conversion bracket, but it doesn't fit with these speakers.

Anyway, where did you guys put your crossovers and how hard was the install for the ones on the door panel and kick panel?
