Cutout on Exhaust

Someone posted once before that they were thinking about doing this mod. Has anyone done it yet?

Ya the guy did it but he lost a distinct amount of power from what I remember.

i put cut outs on mine and didnt lose any power did gain any either, i just did it for sound. buddy of mine runs a dyno shop (yay!) so im planing to dyno my truck between mods to see the increase of individual mods. if lowering back pressure lowers lowend torque then how do longtubes any highflow cats help?

They help increase HP up top, but in exchange for some torque down low.

Do you have a sound clip or picture of your set up??

ill get one for you tomorrow, its dark now and my neighbors get very pissy cuz its loud as HELL

sorry it took me so long to post these, i couldnt really get a good pic, this is what i got...



I had to have the 4 stock cats hacked off, then they pretty much welded the cutouts straight to the new highflow cats then they welded em all back up there. you cant really see much by the pic but hopefully you can see what im talking about. all in all its not worth it if you plan to put long tubes on because theyll have to come off, but man it sounds mean when the cutouts are open!!
