mobil1 gear oil question...

the svt supplement says to use 80w-90 lube in the rear end, but all i could find in mobil1 was 75w-90..

will this make any difference?
specs

also: is anyone running mobil1 transmission fluid?

I have used the mobil1 75-90 synthetic for about 13K trouble free miles after I installed the Mag-Hytec cover. I also added 1 tube of friction modifier.

I run Mobil 1 fluids wherever I can and have never had a lubrication-related problem. What does this mean? Nothing. Just because I have gotten good results with Mobil 1 doesn't mean I wouldn't have gotten the exact same results with some generic products.

It just seems to me that a couple of extra bucks for the peace of mind of knowing that I have used the best fluids possible (synthetics in general, not just Mobil 1) is worth it.

I went with Red Line's synthetic D4 about 19,000 miles ago. 39,600 miles on my L and the trans is doing well.

I don't put lube in my rear end. But if your lifestyle calls for it the mobil 75w-90 should work....I guess.

I think you just pegged the gay-meter.

i'm sorry.

Angry I hate LS1.com!!!

I really hate LS1.com. Did I mention that I hate LS1.com? Well I do, I really do.

I hope that you know that I was just joking with you...but I really do hate LS1.com.

I was joking about the gay lifestyle stuff...not LS1.com. I just wanted to be clear on this. I hate LS1.com.
