Question Can a Boost by pass Kit cause the SES to come on?

The SES didn't come on for about 7000 miles after the kit went on, then the SES came on. The dealer said that there was a leak in the boost solenoid that came up when they read the codes. I thought they haden't rerouted my wires for the boost by pass kit because for the longest time it didn't cut the boost until yesterday on a dounshift from 2nd to 1st gear. Could my boost by pass kit be installed improperly? If so why would the SES come on thousands of miles after the install? The SES comes on now about every month. I think my MAS might be slightly of wack! Of course the dealer won't check the volts because last time that they read the codes it pointed out to the vacuun leak in the boost solenoid. If the MAS is slightly off wack will it always show the problem whean the codes are read?

Next time the SES comes on I will remove the chip and take it in. LAst time I forgot to take the chip out, so they just reset the computer and did not read the codes.

Take the kit off. Reinstall everything correctly. Unplug the boost dump solenoid(as you could have in the begining). Disconnect the battery neg. cable. Turn on the h/l sw. for 5 minutes. Turn the h/l sw. off. Reconnect the cable. See what it does now???

there is going to be lot's of opinions - but until you buy/borrow a code reader to pull the code to get the facts.... no one really knows for sure what the problem is.
