Thanks for your concern Joe... Need someone to keep me on my toes. In my own defense I tried sending him an email at the address we have on record but got no reply. Now if that email is no longer valid then he would be in violation of the registration rules... So Im just looking out for the sanctity of the forum..

LOL - Just kidding

Actually I was trying to contact him to see if I could get an RC lightning from him... So you see it is Lightning related.

And based on this thread I dont think Steve would mind...

So you can see I did my home work before posting...

sorry I couldn't resist

You might want to e-mail John 893 he has put together a few RC lightnings, the one driving around JDM last year was one of Johns.

If you talk to him, tell him you know me and Bill and he will help you out.

You might want to try him on the Blackwood board. I don't know which one he's on more often now.

Anyone know of a Nitro Lightning? I have had a few nitro cars in the past and a Lightning would be cool w/ a .25 or larger motor.

I'm still here

Wow, a post with my name, how Kewl

Course, I get caught in a crossfire about personal messages and then get called out for not being a "supporting vendor"

Seriously, I will try to post on Friday a sort of primer on RC vehicles that are or can be made into Lightnings. I have done this on a one on one basis quite a lot this last month but it will be easier for me to do it at one whack for any/all to see. As I am home today, I do not have access to all the info I need.

As to being here or on the Blackwood thread, I am still here faithfully 4/5 times a day but as Moby is now with Darin, I cannot really contribute anything and my questions about the Wood don't have any relevance here. It is still nice to keep up with my good friends on the Lightning thread.

As to supporting vendor status, I have actually paid Steve up front to become such but have never really sold anything since that became part of the program here. Steve and I are in touch on this and we may put something together pretty soon.

In this respect, I will be in contact with Steve to see if I should sell stuff or just give you folks the basic information and you can buy it where you wish. One thing to remember, I do price better for members of sites like this but I am still somewhat higher than mail order or web order prices. My store is situated in a former movie theater in an upscale strip mall and is horribly expensive to run plus I offer a lot of service; this as opposed to Tower Hobbies who are in a warehouse in an industrial district and have limited service capabilities.

Be back on Friday
Bill

You can get those 1/10th scale Lightnings at Tower hobbies. I think they are made by Tamiya.
