Last few hours with the L

Today she will be gone - sold to someone in Florida... at least it will be out of the snow / salt. Sad to see it go, but my 2002 true blue will be here Friday afternoon. Just thought I would share in group this morning

Glad to see you're getting another Lightning.... Why did you sell the other one in the first place?

Thanks guys. The hitch was straightened out - I must have been seeing a misprint on the paperwork. The class III towing package is a standard feature from what I see. I would love to find a factory bed cover for the new one right away... the dealer quoted a price of $400 installed, but I don't know if they completely understood the fact that I wanted a "factory" cover. Next on the list is to find a good body shop to fix the front of the truck - can't stand those holes.
I sold the other truck because red was becoming far too noticeable for me. Plus, I wanted all the features of the 2001/2002 style... yeah, it's an excuse to buy a new one. The main reason that I wanted true blue was because it was the rarest of all colors produced... I like to be different.

HOLD ON ONE MINUTE !!!!
Phil is not telling the truth. He finally went 12.9 in the red one and it scared him so bad that he decided to get rid of it.
But the smile on his face that day was a thing of beauty....
Give me a call Phil and I will hook you up with the person you want to repair your front bumper.

I'm sorry and congrats. I'm trying to sell mine right now too. It will be hard to let her go. Figured I'd get a 05' when they come out.

Yes, it did scare me a bit
I have bigger and better plans for the 02 though. Mike will be a busy man getting my order out here. I need to determine what exhaust I will go with on the new one - I let the MAC go on the truck. I was thinking JDM silver bullet, but i do not want the "glasspack" sound. I need to here more sound files of it first.
The new truck won't be here until Friday, so I get a loaner car of some sort until then.
Marc - I will give a call later today.

its hard to let go isn't it, but you'll probably forget about her when you get your 02.

93 Cobra,

I suspect that your new true blue my be my old one. I went to Manitoba for a couple of weeks and they made me insure and regester it there so I had to put the front Plate on it, as for the tonneau cover mine had a rip in it the dealer took it in service meanwhile I was up front buying another lightning. So, Mark called back to service told them to take the plate off of it Pat bought another 02 True Blue and that is the one that got wrecked. See if your searil number is 2FTZF07382CA56608 it is the one I had exported in August. bluelightning

Pat/ bluelightning@lightningowner.com
and look at the front passenger side fender there should be a faint scratch

Hey 93cobra I know how you feel my 02 L is getting traded in friday. I'am going to miss her. At least your getting another L. I'am getting an 03 F250 4x4 V10 I needed something a little more practical. But I will still try to squeeze what I can out of the V10 already have AFE intake and Infinity speakers sitting under the bed. And I spoke to kooks headers he is going to build me a set for the V10. I really didn't think about missing my L till I read your post. I just hope she goes to a good person. P.S I'am having the dealer take my silver bullet exhaust off they would rather have the stock exhaust on. If anyone is interested in it let me know only has 3000 miles on it. Well happy thanksgiving everyone I hope I'am still allowed to snoop around here. I'am still FORD FOREVER.................
