Rear anti-sway bar height questions
Rear anti-sway bar height questions
I installed some S0-Cal adjustable links. Even at their shortest, they would not level out the rear bar. So, I drilled new holes higher up on the frame (the silver circle about midway up the link is the stock mounting hole).

See the before and after pics below.

The before pic is with Hotchkis leaves and anti-sway bars. I am 100% sure that I got the correct Hotchkis links, as originally I was supplied with the longer links for stock height trucks.
What has me scratching my head in hindsight is whether it was possible that the Hotchkis links were that far off. Is the rear anti-sway bar supposed to be level? Even with the new links, the bar still isn't level! Note that the So-Cal links are in the fully contracted position, so I can make them longer (or just drill another lower mounting hole).
Thanks,

Mine is not level. I looked at my Hotchkis dog bones they are about 4-1/2" from bolt to bolt. I can measure exactly tonight. Mine looks like the same angle as the photo with the SoCal links.
Hmm. I'm pretty sure mine is far more level then that first shot, but I'll go take another look tonight if its not snowing.
Also juding from that photo, it looks like you'll want to be cutting two levels off of your beehive bumpstops there.

After the QA1 is back, I'm going to use the stocker from the front temporarily. Thinking of getting some of those trick BellTech urethane foam bump stops. Anyone know where to find them?
